On October 8-9, 2012 the delegation of the Belarusian National Technical University headed by Dr. Viarshyna H.A., Vice-Rector for Academic, Economic and Financial Activity visited the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E.Alexeev (NSTU). The purpose of the BNTU delegation was to participate in celebration of the 95th anniversary of one of the leading engineering higher education institutions of Russian Federation.
Nowadays the NSTU is a modern innovation University with its main and honorable mission to train specialists for main branches of the Russian economy. The NSTU is staffed with experienced and highly qualified academic and research personnel which is ready to solve any challenges in the field of education. In the course of its nearly centennial history the NSTU has trained more than 160,000 specialists, Candidates and Doctors of Sciences.
The NSTU is a recognized and highly-reputed institution and it is reflected by the fact that in 2010 the University became the competition winner in the category of “100 Best Institutions of Higher education in Russia”.
At festive event hosted by the Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Drama Theatre named after M.Gorky Dr. Viarshyna H.A., the BNTU Vice-Rector, conveyed anniversary wishes to his Russian colleagues and expressed his confidence that the BNTU-NSTU partnership would continue its dynamic and sustainable development.
During its visit the BNTU delegation had several meetings with Prof. Dmitriev S.M., the NSTU Rector, and discussed prospects for partnership and cooperation in the forthcoming period. So both parties exchanged views and considered the possibility to organize an academic probation for Belarusian students of Power Engineering Faculty at the NSTU in February, 2013.
