Academician Mikhail S.Vysotskii [10.02.1928 – 25.02.2013], who died on February 25, 2013, was the Director-General of the “Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Science of Belarus”, General Designer on Automotive Techniques of the Republic of Belarus, the Hero of Belarus, member of the National Academy of Science of Belarus, Doctor of Science (Engineering), Professor.
Academician Mikhail S.Vysotskii was granted the title of ‘Minsk Honorary Citizen’ for significant contribution to the social, economic, scientific and technical development of Minsk, to the mechanic engineering, invention of competitive research and development projects, active citizenship.
The Belarussian National Technical University is proud of the fact that for many years Academician Mikhail S.Vysotskii was Head of the “Heavy Vehicles and Road Trains” Department. In 2005 he was awarded with the title of BNTU Honorary Doctor.
The memory of this outstanding scientist and remarkable person will live forever in the hearts of those who were lucky to know, work and be close to him.
