11th International Exhibition ''KazAutoRoad''

On November 19-20, 2014 11th International Exhibition ''KazAutoRoad'' has taken place in Astana (Kazakhstan). The Exhibition has featured promising projects and advanced developments in road sector, such as novel eco-friendly materials, equipment, and technologies for road construction and maintenance. ''KazAutoRoad'' has been organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Automobile Roads Committee of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) has also been invited to take part in this significant event. The BNTU has been represented by Prof. Dr. Busel A.V., Dean of the BNTU Transport Communications Faculty.

At the Exhibition Prof. Dr. Busel has made a presentation considering the Transport Communications Faculty capacity for training engineers for road sector. Besides, Prof. Dr. Busel has participated in the Research and Practice Conference ''Innovations and Modern Technologies in Road Construction'' taking place within the framework of ''KazAutoRoad''. The BNTU representative has delivered the report on traffic safety at Belarusian paid roads at the Plenary Meeting.

Prof. Dr. Busel has presided over the Meeting of the Presidium of Intergovernmental Council of Roads held at L.B. Goncharov Kazakh Road Academy (KAZADI). The Participants have approved the plan for Council events for 2014-2015 and evaluated KAZADI’s capacity to train and retrain automobile engineers in Kazakhstan. The BNTU Delegate has also awarded the winners of the International Contest of Research Projects held among undergraduate and graduate students of automobile engineering specialities.

As the BNTU is the basic CIS organization for higher engineering education, Prof. Dr. Busel has also held a meeting with KAZADI undergraduate and master students and described further training prospects at the BNTU. Besides, he has attended the presentation of the book ''Roads of the World. The Past and the Present'' by Timur Chernobaev. The book is used as a manual for the course ''Introduction to the Speciality ''Automobile Roads''.
