From 05.01.2019 to 05.02.2019 at the “Bridges and tunnels” department of the faculty of transport communication of BNTU, the scientific internship of Ismail Dzhabr (Syrian citizen) took place.

During the scientific conference, the scientific research on the topic “The impact of building information model in a AUTODESK REVIT environment” was held.

Internship consist of the following main stages.

1. Creation of building information model.

2. Learning the basic of Revit.

3. Designing of architectural structures.

4. Structural design.

Vocational guidance work was carried out with the graduated students of the 38 school of Grodno by senior lecturer of department “Car roads” of FTC Zlenko L.V.

Students were acquainted with the specialties of our faculty, with a brief description of the professions that are being trained, with a recruitment plan and passing points, with the conditions of study and living place while studying.

In Grodno Polytechnic College, a discussion with a presentation for 4-year students of department of building technologies of the specialty Car roads was held. Students were given an information about a possibility of further education in the chosen specialty, terms and conditions of study, majors, the needs of our profession in the labor market, the opportunity of combining professions for getting an additional education.

The results of the grant competition of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus to fund research was held.

One of the 22 grants of BNTU has won a graduate student of the FTC of the “Bridges and tunnels” department Hodyakov V.A.

Hodyakov Vacheslav Andreevich has become the winner of the competition with the research on the topic “Assessment of the dynamic impact of the moving load on the transport facilities of the Republic of Belarus”, supervisor – candidate of Technical Sciences, assistant professor of department MiT Boiko Igor Leonidovich.

The graduate student was actively engaged in scientific research in the BNTU from the very beginning of his studying years. He has more than four dozen of scientific publications, a lot of competitions, conferences, diplomas and a lot of other different achievements.

We want to remind you that in the year of 2017 there were two winners of this competitions, 2 master’s students of the “Bridges and tunnels” department – Kalackii Anton Sergeevich and Hodyakov Vacheslav Andreevich.

We congratulate the winner! Wish him to succeed in his researches and current scientific discoveries!

At 12 of March the excursion to the metro station, Ybileinaya (Minsk) for the students of fourth course of the “Bridges and tunnels” department was held.

Nowadays the metro station Ybileinaya is in the final stages of the construction of the main supporting structures and is one of the transfer hubs of the 3rd line of Minsk metro. It will be located at the intersection of streets Suhaya and Calvariiskaya. Building and assembly works are carried out in tight urban building and closely adjacent to high-rise residential and administrative buildings what affects the speed of construction.

This station is the deepest station in the construction history of Minsk metro, depth of the pit reaches 32m. Fence of the pit is made by the method called “wall in the ground”. For the convenience of construction, the workspace was optimized over the station under construction, in one of the parts of the excavation of the station along the perimeter of the “wall in the ground”, longitudinal belts were used and disposal in the form of large-diameter pipes, the rest was constructed with anchor. The installation of a new type of waterproofing has begun – combined, water protection bends using filtration screens and waterproof membrane.

Technically, the station is very laborious. Primarily due to the difficult geotechnical conditions. During the development of the pit, there was a constant flooding, what greatly affected the construction period, however, the builders promised to finish the construction and installation work in the near future.

A. for the given opportunity to visit the facility and to get to know a lt of useful information, what is extremely important in our profession.

A15 of March an intellectual game “Brainstorm” organized by trade union of FTC students for the first time took place at the FTC in the co-working of the National Library of BNTU.

There were six teams participated for the title of being the smartest.

The main task for the participants – to cope with the questions posed in the shortest terms. The questions of the intellectual game were divided on the thematic blocks: “warm up”, “music”, “sport”, “cinema”, “where is the logic?”. Every block had its price for the correct answers to the questions.

Places at the end of the game were distributed as follows:

1st place – team “Sverxrazum”;

2nd place – team “Belyachi s myasom”;

3rd place – team “Tikovki”.

The winners were awarded with diplomas and tasty bakery, all the participants get the brand magnet of the intellectual game “Brainstorm”.

At 24 of March, “FTC pin-pong tournament for gifts from the dean of the faculty” which was organized by dean and the active of the faculty took place at the BNTU dormitory №17.

The students and dean of the FTC Kravchenko Sergei Egorovich took an active part in the tournament. In addition, there was a honorary participant of the tournament Grechuhin Vladimir Alexandrovich – head of department “Bridges and tunnels”.

The tournament was open by friendly pin-pong game between Sergei Egrovich and Vladimir Alexandrovich.

The participants took part in the competition according to the draw for the honorable title of being the most adroit and technic player. All the participants showed themselves with strength, spend their time usefully and get a lot of positive emotions.

The tournament turned out to be exited and memorable for participants by its intensity of emotions and the sharpness of the struggle for the leading positions.

The places taken are distributed as follows:

3rd honorary place took the dean of the faculty – Kravchenko Sergei Egorovich.

On 27th of February 2019 the sport event “Come on guys!” was held at the dormitory №17 at the FTC. This event held to celebrate the Day of Defender of the Fatherland and this event has become a great tradition of our faculty.

The performance of the best voice of our faculty (Shurigin Oleg) and the graduated student (Oleg Fomin) has brought the warm emotions to the event. And, of course, an event like that could not go well without an army song with a guitar, which was presented with talent by the freshmen of the faculty Gaiduk Artem.

Honored guests of the event: Kravchenko S.E. (Dean of the FTC), Garost M.M. (Deputy Dean, responsible for the organization work of the FTC), Kuprianchik A.A. (assistant professor, c.t.s. of the “Car roads” department).

In the contests, there were two teams that were compete face-to-face: team “Cubes” and team “Voluntary squad”. The participants were asked to go through a series of tests in order to find out which one of them is the most dexterous, strong and brave.

The first test is “salutatory card” in which the teams presented their slogans and dances. Then the participants and the captains of the teams were taken to physical training, to sharpshooting, to endurance and agility.

As a result, of the competition the jury distributed the places follows: team “Voluntary squad” got a 2nd place diploma. Team “Cubes” has become the winner and got a 1st place diploma. All the participants were awarded with medals and sweet prizes that were provide by the trade union of the FTC and BRSM of the FTC.

We want to thank the organizers of the event: the educator of the FTC Sikorskii I.N., the participants of the competition, the jury and active viewers.

Dynamic and technology problems of mechanics of constructions and continues environment on behalf of Gorshkova A.A. is a annual international event.

From 18 to 22 of March 2019 the XXV International Symposium "Dynamic and technology problems of mechanics of constructions and continues environment" on behalf of Gorshkova A.A. was held.

Symposium organizers: Moscow Aviation Institute, Research Institute of Mechanics of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov, Research Institute of Mechanics of NNU named after N.I. Lobachevsky.

Skachek Pavel Dmitrievich a graduate student of the department "Mathematical Methods in Construction" attended the symposium.

Skachek P.D. made a presentation "The stress state of the support node of a freely supported beam" in collaboration with Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S.V. Bosakov.

The following issues were raised during the presentation:

- the influence of the size of the contact zone on the maximum bending moment;

- the influence of local deformations in the beam on the size of the contact zone;

- the dependence of the contact zone on the indicator of flexibility, or the ratio of the stiffness of the supported structures;

- comparison of the obtained calculation results obtained by the proposed method with the theoretical results Aleksandrova V.M.

During the symposium Skachek P.D. got acquainted with the methods of solving contact problems, methods of modeling the object and subject of study, methods of programming, processing and visualization of the data obtained using computer algebra systems Matlab and Maple. The Matlab complex allows you to perform complex of mathematical calculations, including the construction of graphs, diagrams and image processing. One of the main advantages of Matlab is the ability to create a standalone application using the Matlab language, which can be integrated and introduced into the educational process both for the purpose of learning and for the control of students' knowledge. At the same time, complex of mathematical calculations can be performed in one of the programming languages, for example C++, Fortran etc. by creating the library that is connected to Matlab, and the interface part in Matlab.

Skachek P.D. plans to use the knowledgies gained at the symposium for research in the preparation of his theses, and also to create an independent software application for further use at the level of the university and design institutes on the base of the theses.

The participants of the symposium honored the memory of Anatoly Gerasimovich Gorshkov at the memorial plaque on the territory of the MAI.

On 26th of March on the base of dormitory №17 the competition “Best room of the FTC” took place.

This event is held within the university-wide review competition “The best room of BNTU” which is held by Students campus together with PPO of BNTU students.

The judges considered the following criteria for evaluating the rooms of participants: cleanliness, lighting and interior color solution, compliance with the rules of residence in the dormitory and safety of dormitory property, and the most important criteria was noticed to be a coziness and comfort of the rooms.

All the participants design their room with a pleasure, many approached this issue with creative enthusiasm, which made every room unique and stylish.

All the participants were awarded with diplomas and precious prizes from the trade union organization of students of FTC and BRSM of FTC.

On 30th of March the Open door day of our university was held at the yard in front of the main building of BNTU. Applicants from all over the country come to the BNTU annually, in order to learn firsthand about the inner life of the country’s main technical university.

Our faculty has provided all the necessary information about the specialties and passing points to every interested in it applicant. Faculty activists has provide the information about the social life of the faculty and about the huge number of activities for students. Colorful and laconically designed informative booklets with a detailed description of all specialties went to those who showed interest in entering our faculty. Each guest of our faculty stand had an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with modern geodesic survey equipment and some types of road – building machines.

For applicants, the dean’s office and activists of the faculty organized a raffle of flash memory cards that could be won by anyone of the applicants by using the popular social network Instagram. The essence of the raffle was to publish at your personal page the most creative picture taken in front of our university with an account of university mentioned and the hashtag #enterattheFTC. As a result, of random number generation, the winners of the raffle were defined and the lucky one who got the valuable prices too.

A good addition was the sunny weather and excellent mood among the people who received the motivation and inspiration to make the right choice to enter the faculty of transport communication.

18.04.2019 in Minsk in the Marriot Hotel the Head of the Department “Mechanization and automation of road building complex” professor Vavilov A. V. organized and held the republican seminar “About the solution of current issues of HCS” within the International spatialized exhibition “Belkommuntex-2019”.

The topic of the seminar was aimed at finding the solution to the issues of obtaining popular products, primarily made of waste building materials and constructions.

Representatives of a number of enterprises of HCS from different regions of Belarus took part in seminar, as well as students, the press and other visitors of “Belkommuntex-2019” exhibition.

In march- april of 2019 the excursion of 4th students from the “Bridges, transport tunnels and subways” 1-70.03.02 specialty to the “Zhukovskogo” metro station took place.

Obstacle of working condition broke our stream into several groups, cue to the great desire of students to visit the tunnel. Distillation tunnels between stations “Zhukovskogo – Aerodromnaya” are in the final stages of construction.

Students looked at all stages of the construction of tunnel lining structures using a non-mechanized shield and mastered at the process of developing the breed and the technology of attaching the forehead. There were technical equipment for movement of soil in the volume of the tunnel.

Representative of SMU 2 Slipcenko O. I. showed the knots of connection of reinforced tunings to pig-iron, the junction points of precast concrete structures to monolithic with waterproofing nodes at the joints and the development stages of the pit and the construction of structural elements. Students visited the station “Zhukovskogo” and reversal deadlocks, looked at the mounting–shield cell, where will soon finish its work on sinking one of the mechanized shield tunnels called “Alesya”.

Students said thank you very much to the main engineer of UP “Minskmetrostroi” Arutynyanu A.V. for the organization of excursion to socially significant underground construction sites of the Minsk city and they thanked the senior teacher of the department MiT Yakovlev A. A. for the realization of the event.

On 23th of April 2019 the “Tournament of CYBERFOOTBALL among the students of FTC – IPF” organized by two trade unions of students of FTC – IPF took place.

The tournament began with the defining the game pairs 1/8 finals by drawing. Further, while waiting for game the participants participated in a quiz, which consisted of four blocks of questions, which reveal different stages of the history of football and interesting facts about major figures in this kind of sport.

The participants proved to be not only the good athletes, but also football experts. However, the victory in the tournament was determined be the dexterity of participants and the mood for the victory.

Places in the tournament were as follows:

1st place: Molotkov Nikita (group 11402118, FTC);

2nd place: Golik Pavel (group 11402118, FTC);

3rd place: Kozakov Vladimir (group 11405117, FTC).

The winners were awarded with diplomas, medals and sweets, which were provided by trade union of FTC, IPF and BRSM of FTC. Nevertheless, each participant received a corporate magnet of the event from the tournament organizers.

The participants also noticed a good level of organization; they thanked the organizers for the great opportunity to communicate, to share experience and to enjoy the game.

We thank all the participants of the tournament for a good game and wish them victories in any kind of further competitions.

24.04.2019 at the department MADSK of BNTU the annual meeting of section “Mechanization and automation of road building complex” of the International conference “Science to education, economy and production” took place.

The Head of Department MADSK professor Vavilov A. V. held the meeting.

Most reports were on the subject of the Scientific School in the development of the scientific foundations of creating a system of resource-saving machines and specific machines for promising production technologies.

Over the past year as well as previous ones scientific research was carried out in NIL “MADSK” in the order of the job of GPNI on the development of methods for creating a system of road machines for modern and promising technologies and materials.

In the section, in addition to teachers and staff of the MADSK department there were the representatives of the LTD “Amkodor – Holding Management company” etc.

The conference's mission is to promote and enhance the dialogue in education among the educational institutions devoted to Science and Technology fields through promotion of best practice standards in the service of international education, the facilitation of information exchange, creation and dissemination of knowledge.

We believe that this is best achieved through international cooperation and promotes the development of closer links among relevant educational institutions and individuals around the world.
