The Award Ceremony has taken place in the National Library in May 2016. Since 2007, this event has comprised the annual competition "Best Diploma Thesis and Student Research Work in the Field of Management and Quality Control".
The BNTU undergraduates and master's students majoring in metrology, standardization and certification (graduates of the Standardization, Metrology and Information Systems Department (SMIS) have won awards in this prestigious competition for the ninth time in a row.
This year's winners are:
- Olga Rombalskaya (research supervisor Pavel S. Serenkov, Head of the SMIS Department, Doctor of Science (Engineering), Professor);
- Anna Scherbina (research supervisor Liudmila V. Kupreeva, Senior Lecturer);
- Elena Karpievich (research supervisor Yevgeniya N. Savkova, PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor).
Mikhail A. Zhuravkov, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, and Victor V. Nazarenko, Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus, presented these high awards to the winners. Andrey V. Kobyakov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, has attended the Ceremony.
This outstanding success of the SMIS Department graduates asserts the nationwide leadership of the BNTU and the Department in the field of metrology, standardization, and quality management.
