On December 11, 2015 the BNTU S&T Park Polytechnic has participated in the Seminar on Attracting Top Talents. The Seminar has been held at the conference hall of Europe Hotel. Dating back to 1800ies, the hotel was completely destroyed during the Great Patriotic War and rebuilt in 2007.
The Seminar has been held thanks to joint efforts of the Belarusian and Chinese partners: Guangdong Human Resources and Social Welfare Bureau, Guangdong Administration of Foreign Experts' Affairs, Union of International and Technological Cooperation between Guangdong Province and the CIS, the BNTU S&T Park Polytechnic, and BNTU Confucius Institute on Science and Technology. The Chinese Delegation has comprised:

- Liu Bin, Deputy Head of Zhuhai Human Resources and Social Welfare Bureau
- Yan Bingjung, Consultant with Foshan Human Resources and Social Welfare Bureau
- Jian Weiwe, Deputy Head of Zhaoqing New and Hi-Tech Development Zone
- Li Xiuejion, Deputy Head of Human Resources Department at Guangzhou New and High-Tech Development Zone
- Huang Cuning, Deputy Head of Shunde Human Resources and Social Welfare Bureau
Guangdong Province is located in the south of mainland China on the South China Sea coast. The favorable geographic position of the province has made it a major commercial port. Total Area of the Province numbers 179,7 km2. With the population of 107, 2 mln people, Guangdong ranks among the most populous Chinese provinces.
Guangdong is among the regions boosting the country's economic development. For the last 26 years Guangdong's GDP has surpassed this indicator of economic performance of other provinces. In 2014 the region's GDP amounted to 1,1 billion dollars, and GDP per capita exceeded USD 10 000. If included in the global economies ranking as a separate state, in 2014 Guangdong would rank 16th economy.
Guangdong has shaped a powerful industrial cluster with IT, petrochemistry, power engineering and mechanics, and building materials as prevailing industries. The Province implements framework cooperation agreements with Hong Kong and Macao. Guangdong is engaged in a number of promising projects in industry and economy such as pilot Chinese free trade zone, Taiwan High-Tech Park in Dongguang, Sino-German Metal Eco City in Jieyang, and others.
At the Seminar the Participants have discussed fields of interest for highly qualified foreign employees, labor conditions, investments, and setting up a business in Guangdong.
