On June 12-28 Baku (Azerbaijan) hosts the 1st European Games, a multi-sport regional event soon nicknamed as European Olympics. This large-scale sport feast has united over 6000 athletes from 50 European countries. The Games are owned, organized and regulated by the European Olympic Committees, world’s most respected sports organizations.
On June 16, 2015 Belarussian athlete Vasilisa Marzaliuk studying at the BNTU International Institute of Distance Education has surpassed all the renowned rivals and become European Games champion in freestyle wrestling (75kg).
Vasilisa has claimed the champion’s title in a dramatic final competition against Ekaterina Bukina, a talented Russian athlete. Though Ekaterina has done almost the unthinkable to recover the leadership, Vasilisa has taken a firm grip on the competition winning a gold medal for Belarus.
We wholeheartedly wish Vasilisa further outstanding achievements and all possible success.
